I get really nervous whenever I hear, Mr. Bush was chosen by God or claims to be Christ-like. These claims instantly remind me of "divine right of kings” the concept that legitimized the right to rule of all kings throughout history.
The behavior of this current president’s administration, in hiding information from the public, such as Cheney’s Energy Policy and the information requested by congress for 9/11 investigation, among many others. Reinforces my nervousness about the divine connection.
This in my opinion is the behavior of a king such as Henry VIII, George III or Louis XVI, they also felt no need to inform or answer to, “their” people about the king’s actions and claimed they were divinely ordained to rule.
